BEACHES OF KERALA

Kovalam Beach - One of the popular surfing destinations of Kerala, Kovalam Beach is often compared to the Calangute and Baga beaches of Goa. the beach is divided into three parts, namely Lighthouse Beach (the largest one), Hawa Beach (also called Eve’s Beach) and Samudra Beach (a romantic destination).

Varkala Beach - Also addressed as Papanansam Beach, it facilitates a striking ambiance to visitors. Varkala Beach is primarily popular for its natural springs bearing medicinal properties. Tourists visit here to take a dip in the water or book an ayurvedic treatment or spa for rejuvenation.

Marari Beach - The beach’s name originates from Mararikulum, a local fishing village on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Golden sands, coconut palm and casuarina trees ornament the beach beautifully. One of the best beaches to imbibe serenity and relax with loved ones along with indulging into nearby sightseeing. Sea surfing, parasailing, water skiing, and deep-sea fishing are among the exciting water sports practised on the beach.

Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach - The beach is located at Thalassery, Kannur. The only beach in Kerala as well as Asia that has 2.5 miles longest stretch of sand where one can drive or ride a cycle along the beach.
