Day 1. Kochi to Munnar (127 km - 3 hrs 42 mins) - Arrival
Arrive in Kochi, also known as the ‘Gateway to Kerala’, by flight or train. Directly head towards Munnar. On the way visit the majestic Athirapally Waterfalls. Also visit Cheeyappara Waterfalls, Valara Waterfalls, Karadipara Waterfalls and Spice Garden.
Reach Munnar, check-into a hotel and get enough rest for the day.

Day 2. Munnar local sightseeing
The day 2 of your Kerala trip at Munnar known as ‘The Kashmir of South India’, is filled with enthralling sightseeing. Indulge yourself with Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, Carmeragiri Elephant Park, Blossom Park, and Photo Point.

Day 3. Munnar to Thekkady (91.4 km - 2 hrs 46 mins)
Check-out from Munnar towards Thekkady. Pull up your socks for an eventful day at Thekkady. The top attraction here is the Periyar National Park, where tourists can enjoy boating at Periyar Lake. Enjoy cultural programs in the evening.
Return to your hotel or resort in the late evening and relax for the rest of the hours.

Day 4. Thekkady to Kumarakom (122 km - 3 hr 25 mins)
Transfer to Kumarakom from Thekkady in the early morning. Explore the charming Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, spend time at Kumarakom Beach, and boating on the backwaters.

Day 5. Kumarakom to Alleppey (32.4 km - 52 mins)
The 5th day of your trip will take you to the ‘Venice of the East’. The backwaters of Alleppey await your visit to cruise through them on a houseboat. Check in to your pre-booked houseboat and spend the entire day and night in it to experience the immense tranquillity and bewitching beauty of the backwaters. Savour the relishing delicacies of Kerala freshly cooked and served in the houseboats.

Day 6. Alleppey to Varkala (107 km - 3 hrs 3 mins)
Check out from the houseboat on the next day to start your journey towards Varkala.
Varkala beach, Varkala Cliff, Sivagiri Mutt, and Ponnumthuruthu (Golden) Island (an acacia-filled island in the middle of a backwater lake. There is the Golden Temple of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati).

Day 7. Varkala to Kovalam (90.7 kms - 2 hrs 7 mins via Jatayu Earth Centre)
Check out from Varkala and head towards Jatayu Earth Centre, the world’s largest bird sculpture, (approximately 47 minutes drive from Varkala, en route to Kovalam).
Reach Kovalam and check in to your retreat. There are many resorts in Kovalam and Poovar where you can experience luxury with several amenities and fancy provisions. If you are high on your budget then you can choose to stay on the floating cottages at Poovar. Visit.
Vizhinjam Rock–Cut Cave Temple and call the day off. Cover the rest of the spots in Kovalam the next day along with Poovar.

Day 8. Kovalam and Poovar Sightseeing
Warm up your soul with an energy-filled breakfast for the day’s touring. In Kovalam, visit Kovalam Beach, Padmanaswamy Temple and Kovalam Art Gallery. Then shift your gaze to Poovar where you are going to visit Azhimala Shiva temple, where you will witness the 58 metres tall Shiva statue, Poovar beach, and Kuthira Malika Palace (known as the mansion of horses).
Wind up your day and return to your resort or hotel. Have your dinner and go to sleep to eject out the day’s weariness.

Day 9. Kovalam to Trivandrum (20.4 km - 33 mins) Departure
Check out from Poovar and head towards Trivandrum for the scheduled flight or train.
