01

Day 1. Arrival at Kochi

Nearest Airport - Cochin International Airport

Nearest Railway Station - Ernakulam Junction

Arrive at Kochi and check into a hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and prepare for the upcoming engaging trip.

Day 2. Kochi to Munnar (127 km) and sightseeing

Start early for the day after checking out from Kochi. Since the distance is about 127 km, a road journey will take almost 4 - 4&½ hours. On the way to Munnar, there are two waterfalls to be sighted. Halt the vehicle to view the Valara Waterfalls and Cheeyappara Waterfalls. Reaching Munnar, check into a hotel and set out to sight tourist attractions like Spice Garden, Pothamedu Viewpoint, enjoy ziplining, Karadipara viewpoint, Sunset Point and Attukad Waterfalls.

Day 3. Munnar sightseeing

Done with breakfast and freshening up, tie your shoes tightly to absorb the other enchanting sights of Munnar, the Kashmir of South India.

The attractions include Photo Point, Elephant Ride, Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake and Top Station, the highest point. Wrap up the sightseeing for the day and retreat to the accommodation.

Day 4. Munnar to Thekkady (105 km)

Check out from Munnar to reach Thekkady. After checking into a resort or a hotel, visit the popular Periyar National Park. Experience a boat cruise at the Periyar Lake. ibn the evening enjoy a cultural program such as the traditional Kathakali dance performance. Overnight stay at Thekkady.

Day 5. Thekkady to Alleppey (128 km)

Here comes the ‘Venice of the East’ on the 5th day of the trip. Book an overnight stay at Alleppey Houseboat. It’s better to make the booking beforehand as the houseboat cruise through the Kerala backwaters is the top attraction in Alleppey and hence in great demand.

Day 6. Alleppey to Varkala (112 km)

Check-out from the houseboat in the morning and transfer to Varkala. Spend a leisurely day at Varkala beach and cliff. Explore the nearby local markets, find some fascinating spots for photo shoots, or try the lip-smacking delicacies in the cafes at the cliff

Day 7. Varkala to Trivandrum (40.9 km)

This is the ultimate day of the trip. Either indulge in Trivandrum tourist spots and depart in the evening from the railway station or airport. Or, book a stay at Trivandrum for the day and leave the next day. On arriving and checking into a hotel at Trivandrum, visit Kavala Beach, Padmaswamy Temple, Napier Museum and Zoo. Return to the hotel in the evening.
